May 1-September 6 Pay Every Day Derby Oswego County
Chance to win daily prizes for the largest trout or salmon caught on Lake Ontario. Weigh-in stations located in Pulaski, Port Ontario and Oswego. www.payeverydayderby.com for entry and details.
August 7-22 Orleans County Rotary Derby
Salmon and trout derby open to Lake Ontario and tributaries from the Niagara River to the Genesee River. Call 585-589-9881 for info. A weigh station is also set up at The Slippery Sinker in Olcott, Niagara County.
August 20-September 6 Lake Ontario Counties Fall Trout and Salmon Derby
More than $50,000 in cash prizes including $20,000 grand prize for the largest trout or salmon caught during this 18-day event. August 28 Fair Haven Fishing Challenge
Held in Fair Haven, Cayuga County, this derby dishes out prizes for total weight in trout and salmon divisions. 6am-2pm, award ceremoney, prizes and concession are all part of the fun. www.fairhavenny.com

September 18-26 34th Annual Greater Niagara “Fall Classic” Derby. 2010: A Fish Odyssey
Last year, more than $10,000 in cash and prizes was handed out to winning anglers at the New York Power Authority’s Wildlife Fesival. Specie categories include salmon rainbow/brown trout, lake trout, smallmouth bass, carp and walleye. Everyone has a chance to win the grand prize.
